For more than 30 years, I have helped individuals, families, and business owners navigate important financial decisions with confidence. Throughout my career, I have believed that wealth management is about much more than investments. It is about helping people make smart decisions, simplify complexity, and create a life they envision for themselves and their families.
That belief is what led me to establish Fiducia Private Wealth Management.
I wanted the freedom to provide clients with a more personalized experience, broader planning capabilities, and access to the resources and technology needed to serve them at the highest level. Most importantly, I wanted to work in an environment that emphasizes providing advice aligned with clients' needs and objectives.
My passion for both investing and relationships began early in life.
Growing up in Iowa, I watched my father build lasting relationships with clients around the world through his international agricultural business. Many of those business relationships evolved into genuine friendships. Seeing the trust, respect, and care he brought to those relationships left a lasting impression on me and continues to influence how I serve clients today.
At the same time, I developed a fascination with the financial markets. In high school, I was assigned to track a stock for an economics class. I chose IBM and quickly became captivated by the markets, following its performance every day and learning everything I could about investing. What started as a classroom assignment became a lifelong passion.
Today, I have the privilege of combining those two influences: building meaningful relationships and helping people make informed financial decisions.
My approach centers on understanding what matters most to each client before developing strategies designed to support their goals. Every family has a unique story, and I believe financial advice should reflect that.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Iowa before moving to San Diego in 1992. Later, I completed my MBA with an emphasis in finance from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. I earned the CFA® designation in 2004 and the CFP® certification in 2020, reflecting my commitment to ongoing education and professional excellence.
When I am away from the office, I enjoy trail and road running, playing tennis, drumming, and spending time with family and friends.
Helping clients gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of well-being remains the most rewarding part of what I do. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a collaborative advisor and steward of their financial well-being.
